Coltan G. Parker is an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow working with Dr. Scott Juntti at the University of Maryland.

His research investigates the sensory, neural, and genetic mechanisms underlying vertebrate social behavior using the model cichlid fish Astatotilapia burtoni.

Previously he worked with Dr. Justin Rhodes at the University of Illinois. There he earned his Ph.D. studying neural and behavioral aspects of male-to-female sex change in the common clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris.
